This is new to me too. Thanks for posting! nostr. build? Do you like it better than zap.stream?
zap.stream is just an interface for these CDNs...

That's why you have an OG on SN... to remind you all these old gems from bitcoin history :)

I just checked out the site. You can share media from your server, and upload PDFs and SVGs? So is it really streaming for media like in your post? I'm still trying to wrap my head around this stuff.

If you want to stream from your NAS you can also do it, I've told you how (just make shareable media files). The only thing is the bandwidth you should be careful. The rest is piece of cake.
I use nostr.build and not my home NAS because that NAS I use it only for private stuff, not posting on public spaces. But I've test it and works perfectly fine.

Yes, I'm working on the NAS, getting rid of crap on there I don't need to free up space.

yeah if you want to use it as your personal public CDN is perfectly fine, remove private stuff from it, create a dedicated folder for your publicly shared media and done, just share the files you want to be posted on this kind of platforms as nostr or even SN.
I did it as a test, with mp3, mp4, images all kind and are displayed perfectly fine. You just need to configure your media engine in your NAS. Have your own youtube :)
daaamn maybe I should write that "NAS guide" in the end

Yes all types of media. Zap.stream is making the connection with these CDN servers, is not "storing" your videos.
