I think it is an OK territory suggestion. I post the polls whenever I get curious about a subject. For instance, these series polls are here because there are so many suggestions to read different books and a lot of them come in a series. It also gives people ideas on what they may want to read, so they can make their future reading lists. I used to go to my favorite bookstore quite frequently and ask them about their recommendations, which were always very good recommendations. However, lately I haven’t been there. They were and are: http://www.unclehugo.com/prod/index.shtml They burned to the ground with many thousands of used and new books, games and other science fiction nicknames during the riots of 20. Now they have a new place and are back in business. When I lived in Japan, I asked them to send me boxes of books, some my choice, some their choices and I was always pleased with what they sent me. They will send new or used books, depending on what you ask for.

I'm happy to have you, but I must say there do seem to be plenty of stackers who are huge sci- fi fans, so your own territory may do very well. Too bad there aren't sub forums yet. I'm sure that would be a good one for books and articles.

You could start with a daily or weekly sci-fi post, and gauge interest.
