i think the worst thing is that they pop up in things like clothes and stuff, and it's like ffs, i can't do anything or go anywhere without this being an issue

yep! good point. those are full of microplastics.
Another gotcha is kettles. Many electric kettles have plastic inside in various places.
I got a full steel quality italian kettle called Ottoni Fabbrica.
