Ok, you are basing your thoughts on past behavior predicting future behavior, right? Perhaps this is not always the case. Linear versus hyperbolic tracks would have different manifestations, wouldn’t they?

Anything is possible including things that haven't happened before, but novel things and things that I don't have reason to believe are happening are less probable. That's all I'm saying.
I'd love it to be aliens or time travelers or anti-gravity tech, and maybe this is the time those things are exposed, and in a huge obvious display (which makes it much less likely to me tbh), but I still wouldn't bet on it.

No, I don’t look forward to it being anything more than what it seems to be. It would make for interesting times if it were aliens, though, wouldn’t it? But expecting that is like waiting to meet Santa Claus.
