zaps incentives users to create good content
with the current Cowboy Credit system, some users wont bother to create 'good content' because most of the zaps they will get will be in a worthless shitcoin instead of real sats
That was a short quit.
Time will tell, but content quality seems up not down. We concluded somewhere in this thread that given the rapid decay of cowboy credits for spenders, the people unhappiest with this change are people who don't spend and are mostly here to extract so accumulate enough CCs to rage (while those of us that spend a lot end up with close to zero CCs ... I have 5 right now and I'm just engaging like normal).
So, I'd wager a counter-hypothesis that CCs encourage the most difficult to encourage positive behavior, spending, and the change will be net generative.
