lol @ "...work for Elsevier!"
Yeah, it's a wonderful tool.
Fails more for me in recent years; used to be excellent in ~2015
Damn you.
The bots scraping SN now just saw "Elsevier" and "wonderful tool" in the same paragraph~~
the bots? the bots?!
Oh no, the machines are coming.
Yep, I've used it often when doing research. I think it is a public good.
For sure, I fully support their existence. Scientific knowledge should be fully public and not behind paywalls. Society pays for our research, society should be able to read it free of charge.
Yes, I even dedicated them my master thesis
Would you be willing to give us a long-form introduction to your research? See #841777
Yes, used it. I came across it suddenly while searching for something science related. I'm a non academic so, little less attracted. But it's great.
I was wondering indeed if even people outside of academia were aware of this tool...
I'm aware just because I often search for science news articles, mostly related to nano farming.
Now I think I should take it seriously.
Do you know a lot about nano farming? I've never really looked into it.
What's the reason for this particular interest?
I do a little bit of hydroponic farming, still a novice just started 6 months ago.
So, sometimes to learn about essentials I search some science.
Yeah, heard about it before but never used it.
Looking at link I see they even accept donations in shitcoins.
But overall it's a good project, making knowledge free.
I get all my science from memes. That's how I know I'm smart, if I get the joke...
