I like this.

Things I use regularly:

archive.today. They have a liberapay page. This tool does not accept BTC payments.
https://sci-hub.se/. They accept onchain BTC and a bunch of shitcoins. Will write them for LN donations.
GIMP. Several options, but no BTC
Blender. Several options, but no BTC

I'll update with others as I think of them. Will also think about the best way to contact the ones that don't accept BTC at all. Some might want to use an intermediary platform to make things ok from the legal side. Any ideas about specific platform one could use to take donations on your behalf?

Interesting tidbit from the sci-hub page:

Sci-Hub started to collect bitcoin donations early, after some of the users recommended adding a Bitcoin wallet. Bitcoin was very cheap then, and it had a reputation of an anonymous cryptocurrency that is used by hackers and shadow projects - such as Sci-Hub. In 2015 the price of Bitcoin started to grow. Sci-Hub collected some bitcoins by that time, so it was possible to buy new high-performance server. In 2017 the price of Bitcoin increased tremendously, and Sci-Hub became a very rich project. The money were enough to pay expenses for a few years.
