I am interested in what Africans think about bitcoin. I made sure to send this to a Ghanian friend who is doing work in Ghana and also has a podcast. I love the perspective. I agree with what Femi had to say. Bitcoin is not a religion. It is a liberating, monetary, technology, and Africans have the opportunity to lead the way on making it a peer to peer solution like Satoshi originally intended!
Yeah I’ve heard Femi before. I have an IT co worker who went back to Ghana to work for 3 weeks. He has 12 siblings, lots still there. Unfortunately, no bitcoiners. I’m working on him though ;-)

I like his idea that it can be the settlement layer. People don’t necessarily have to know they are using bitcoin.
