It is so rare to find joy and purpose at the same time where I come from in Europe.
Here, most people find a job to pay the bills and find joy in different areas of their lives.
It is hard to find a job that gives you both.
I think you seem to have found both! except for one particularly annoying colleague. But just ignore him and do what you do, heh.
I’m keen to know how you will calibrate between work and life after you become a father! Will you expect to derive the same level of satisfaction from your work, or will you think that deriving joy from family is enough to fill your soul? I think it affects every father differently.
