So something my news feed spat out today was this article about how people are turning to various heated blankets and things to make it through winter in the UK.
i was talking to my 89-year-old grandmother the other day and she also said she was going to put the heating on all day, as a 'luxury', luckily she has some savings, and bills aren't a problem.
but when i hear things like this, it just makes me think, what a disgrace and a travesty that we have this allegedly first-world country with 40 thousand pounds average salary, and yet, using something as basic as heating is a luxury.
one thing these articles never mention is fiat - and I see it all as a downstream on fiat, inflation, and crumbling purchasing power. now you can't afford this anymore and your new reality is heated blankets, next you can't afford proper food and the list goes on and on.
