November 16th was the last Update on the situation in Venezuela. We are one week away from the inauguration of the presidency, which will be on January 10, 2024. I don't know the atmosphere in Venezuela very well, I don't know if they feel hopeful or discouraged. When I talk to my relatives or acquaintances and ask them how they feel about it or what they think, they say "nothing" "I don't think anything will happen." Personally, I feel the same way, in the sense that I doubt there will be a positive change, Nicolas Maduro will remain in power, Edmundo is and will be another farce like all the previous ones, I also think that perhaps a few days of protests could occur again, more deaths and kidnappings, and then in a matter of days everything will return to "normal", after all, carnival is celebrated in February and that will be the priority of the month (I hope I'm wrong). As a worthy Catholic country, everyone expects a "miracle" like every year.
The atmosphere on social media is based on "smoke sellers" with their sensationalist posts, giving false hope to the most gullible and seeking the greatest interaction for their own benefit. On the other hand, there are the skeptics or realists.
I will tell you a little about the most relevant events in this month and a half since my last update:
This is a small demonstration that the "opposition" is not interested in a real change for the country. My God, the mere fact of writing and publishing it here makes me cringe.
Look at what the post says:
JUSTICE NOW!HUGE WORLDWIDE PROTEST to demand the ICC to intercede for Venezuela. They are killing us in silence! We raise our voices and let the world reverberateAre you ready?Stay tuned for the next posts to find out the location of your city.
JUSTICE NOW!FREEDOM NOW!
What struck me most was this:
REMEMBER YOUR RED LIPSTICK AND WHITE HANDKERCHIEF
What the fuck does this mean? What's the point of this? Lipstick? White handkerchief?
Opinions:
In a context of extreme repression, Venezuelans must design strategies of non-violent struggle to challenge a regime that seeks to impose itself by blood and fire. The way forward is peaceful and massive protests; that the desire for change spreads to the already weakened bases of support that sustain Nicolás Maduro.
Tremble Maduro, we're going to knock you down with red lipstick (sarcasm)
Let's take the red, so that it hurts the Chavistas. We are the resistance
The fight continues and on December 1st we are united more than ever with @MariaCorinaYA. All wearing red lipstick to show our determination and courage. #The1stAllInRed

Edmundo González finally gives an interview with "uncomfortable" questions to W Radio of Colombia
First they ask him if he will be physically in Venezuela on January 10, he answers saying that the strategies are not revealed but he does not answer the question directly, they ask him again, he says he does not listen, he is silent, they ask him again and he answers "that is the idea"
Then they ask him what the cabinet will be for his government and he answers that "everything is still very premature"
The journalists question him saying that Trump chose his entire cabinet in less than a month
They ask him the question again, he is silent, he leaves, until he returns and they ask him again saying "in due time the names will be known"
To finish, they ask him about Monómeros and he answers that he does not want to comment on that subject

Something that is not explained is why the genocidal drug regime has not yet raided the corporate offices of SIVENSA (the company of Maria Corina Machado's family) there on Avenida Venezuela, Edif. Torre América, Floor 11, Urb. Bello Monte in Caracas.
It's tiring to know that the "opposition" and Chavismo need each other to be able to continue to exist in Venezuela, and that no matter how much you want change and not give up, you know that there is no real way out because they prevent it.
