Remember when the SEC Twitter got "hacked" and it was announced, retracted and announced, what, like the next day?

I either didn't see discussion on this or did no one else find that incredibly suspicious?

Oh yeah! I do remember that. It was very suspicious. I didn’t buy into the whole, they were hacked, narrative. But I couldn’t figure out why they did that. The only thing I could think of was to control the fiat to Bitcoin exchange rate. Even if there was an effect, I think it was minor.

Yeah I don't know either, but it seemed very strange... I hadn't heard anything about this until I looked it up now but apparently they arrested and charged someone for it https://www.justice.gov/usao-dc/pr/fbi-arrests-alabama-man-january-2024-sec-x-hack-spiked-value-bitcoin
