  1. Do you believe in population collapse as in do you believe the worlds population will rapidly age from current median and birthrates not only stay below replacement levels (like they maybe might have been for the first time ever in 2024) but continue to fall?
  2. Did you believe in the population bomb as in was there a time in your life where you thought the rising populations would continue to raise and create problems for mankind.
With "believe" I mean if you genuinely think or thought it would happen. Not only if you have heard of the concept. Imagine you had to bet on it at the time, would you have chosen yes or no?

Not necessarily. I was never worried about "overpopulation".

Alright, maybe some people were smart enough to forsee China and India following the wests footsteps. But at the time the trend looked very clearly different and the fearmongering was everywhere.
Hindsight is 20/20

I don't deserve credit for that. I thought the population would keep growing rapidly. I just didn't think it would be a bad thing.

I don't have a strong feeling about what level the population will "collapse" to, but I do think we'll see a population decline that will blow up a bunch of government ponzi schemes.
Long-term, I expect population growth to resume, though.

Time is a flat circle and both have happened in the past*, so it stands to reason they'll happen again in the future.
*if we concede to alarmist nomenclature
Both are naturally cyclical forcing functions that trigger evolution of culture/biology/technology/exploration.

Some countries have low life expectancies because of lack of food while others die early because of too much food. Overpopulation or population collapse the problem is to believe the numbers
reply
What I believe is that we will never have an overpopulation, because we had and still have many bureaucrats who love to decimate populations, and the options chosen by them are diverse... sometimes very obvious, other times very cunning, but certainly the bureaucrats are always scheming to wipe out part of the population

interesting polemic, a yes on the one hand to the reduction of the population for various reasons, wars, diseases, lack of adequate food and health in general, but increase of the same to become aware that it can be reversed. the issue is that money is misused in unreasonable elements for the improvement of human quality, once I put it and today I think it appropriate, if they used the money for health, education, hospitals, less war and more population support, we would not lose lives at least not unnaturally, and incidentally give intensive financial education in the management of digital assets BTC and their offspring the current cryptocurrencies. i hope there are no more human losses, i hope an awareness of the value of a soul. thanks for sharing. sats to all

The current phenomenon is very strongly linked with countries getting wealthier btw: https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/children-per-woman-fertility-rate-vs-level-of-prosperity
Since a few votes have come in now I think I can say that I would vote no/no if SN did let me vote on my own posts :)

Nah. Only the Whites will go extint.
Too many cucks, woke retards and pro mass immigration from thirdworld countries. The white race NGMI.

Ruling the world and consuming far more of its resources than non whites does carry consequences. The US is now led by a Big Oil sponsored climate change denier. On average, immigrants work harder than white trailer trash. Microplastics are reducing fertility. A few Jewish families control the monetary system behind the white imperialists military. Is China white?
