Stacker Sports- Special Announcement
Stacker Sports, the official, unofficially official sports territory of Stacker News is pleased to announce @Undisciplined will be joining the territory as a minority owner effective immediately.
@Undisciplined is a well regarded Stacker News veteran, who for the past 464 days has displayed an impressive commitment to holding onto a cowboy hat and has stewarded the Econ territory to great success for an astounding 6 whole days. He is kind of a big deal, just check his bio.
He is a trained economist by trade, which we will try not to hold against him. But perhaps his greatest accomplishment is being a life-long Raiders fan, and never once being committed to the Looney Bin (that we know of).
He is the driving force behind the Stackers Sports podcast and has been credited with its ascent from being a podcast "for people with no expectations" to the heights it has reached today as a podcast "for people with low expectations".
We are excited about the future and what @Undisciplined will bring to the team. We have no clue what he will actually be doing around here, which should be very similar to his day job for him.
@Undisciplined's stake in Stacker Sports would come with a seat on the board of directors but we sold all of our chairs for Bitcoin. Instead we humbly offer him a seat on the board of Old Men Yelling at Clouds!

Thanks. Looking forward to the next round of UEFA. I might need some advice from you in terms of what european football matchups to use in the US vs the World tournament this year.
Yes , no problems.
The UEFA group stage and play-offs will be played in January and February, then we will move onto the last 16 round, QF, SF and Final that will run from March to May and will give us the European winner. In this second phase there will be 7 weeks with matches.
Then, between mid June and mid July there will be a new competition and will be played in the US. It will include clubs around the world and it could be an interesting one to use it for the US vs World tournament.
Then, depending whether you need more or not, we could use some international competition that involves national teams such as the Women's Euro 2025 in July.
Great. We will use the NFL playoffs as the jumping off point for US vs the World. That will cover the first month but starting after Super Bowl I will be focusing on other sports until NFL returns and then I hope to do a mix of NFL and other sports.
It's nice to be appreciated.

We struck our own deal outside of the law.
I was going to ask this too. I know ownership can be transferred in whole, right? I think there was talk of splitting ownership at one point. I am looking forward to these new territory tools on the horizon.
I am sure it will come. Like with the meta takeover, we are trying to skate where the puck is going here.
I have some broader thoughts on territories and territory ownership that I will probably talk more about later this year but that really had nothing to do with this arrangement.
Undisciplined and I will discuss it more on the pod but for me it had more to do with recognizing talent, contribution and potential benefit to the territory, myself and Undisciplined for the future and ensuring since he had become such a big part of what we were doing with the territory that he had some skin in the game if he wanted it.

Better wallets by me in this PR.
With my changes, we will actually show wallets, and not a mix of wallets and protocols. That should make it a lot less confusing for stackers because they can just search for a wallet they have, instead of having to know what protocols the wallets they have support.
@k00b is working on better payments here.
What might be interesting in there for you:
Once we combine @k00b's changes with my changes, we can also implement non-custodial forwards a lot easier since currently, they are always CCs.
And most likely also auto-revenue splits since it's essentially a forwarded payment, but I guess we need to support territory co-founders first.
Meaning revenue with each post/comment/zap in our territory? That's pretty cool.
How many CC's are floating around SN at any given time?
For my part, I'm simply a terrible negotiator who meets offers like this with "Yes, please. No takebacks! How much do I owe you?"
You negotiated a fine deal for yourself with me. With Jeff, not so much. That was a lot of contingencies for a guy that wanted to get out. Haha.
But I am confident it will work out well for you regardless.

I was laughing while drafting this and my daughter said "what's funny daddy?" so I replied "daddy just cracks himself up sometimes".
