The Rising Sun (Fork of Degen Corner and SN Bets)
There is a place on Stacker News They call the Rising Sun And it's been the ruin of many a poor boy And God, I know I'm one
Better late than never. My week was saved by the Commies. I can't believe I just typed those words. The week was looking rough but a halftime bet during Sunday Night Football got me back on track and made it a profitable week.
The week started off well as I won one of two parlays for MNF Saints vs Packers. Fortunately the one I won was the larger one so I ended the day up $3.
My next bets were for the Christmas Day NBA and NFL games. I won one parlay in NFL and one parlay in NBA but lost three spread bets on football and basketball games. I ended the day down $5.
Somehow I hit my parlay on TNF even though the game ended 6-3. I was up $6 for the day.
On Friday I mistakenly believed the Pacers could cover +11 against the Celtics (Pacers usually play the Celtics well). Wrong. I was down $3 for the day.
Sunday was looking pretty rough as I lost my parlay in the Packers vs Vikings game and lost a bet on Canada to win by 6 or more against Germany (they won 4-0) in world junior hockey. I was down $10 for the day and $9 for the week at this point. But I hit on a parlay in the Falcons vs Commanders game and I bet aggressively on the Commies +3.5 when they were down 10 at halftime. I ended the day up $11.
So, in the end a profit of $12. Thank you Commies (can't believe I typed that). After the NFL season I will sweep any and all profits into Bitcoin.
Current Profit: $149 (As per request- Initial Investment sats value= 64k sats, current sats value= 146k sats)
Sats for all, GR

Now the pacers are costing your fiat! Lol this team is a dud!

I just picked the wrong game to bet on. Pacers did beat the Celtics on Sunday. They had a back to back. They have been very disappointing.
reply
Yeah I saw the Knicks played the wizards back to back. I’m like what is the NBA doing lol
reply
They have been doing a lot of back to backs against the same team now.
@Undisciplined do you know the reasoning behind the NBA doing this?
reply
I thought it had to do with reducing the wear and tear of travel. Were they both in the same city?
reply
Yes Pacers and Celtics were both in Boston but not sure about Knicks and Wizards. I have seen them do back to backs home and home before. I think this year is the first time I have noticed back to backs in the same city.
