Trying to find out how to get zaps and still be able to zap after the 3rd of January here on SN. Since I'm a total moron in terms of technology it scares the hell out of me.

For receiving, a lightning address is the easiest so if you have one from some other service (pretty common feature), I would use that.
For sending, it gets more complicated since it depends a lot on what you have available and none is as common or trivial like a lightning address but maybe the guides in #824993 from @supratic will help you.

Someone wrote a lot of helpful guides for this. Their nym escapes me at the moment

a BitKey (and then I had a leftover Trezor Safe 5 that I wanted to include in a setup as well--we'll see what we get to!)

Mostly code review. In the process, I'm trying to create a better local development seed so I can test things that rely on more historical data.

I am working on a platform that will enable anyone to create and use electronic vouchers as cashu tokens. This week, I'm focusing on the NIP-60/61 cashu wallet implementation. It's in java, and it uses my cashu and nostr Java libraries. As payment gateway, only lightning integration for now (phoenixd), but later, I would also like to include strike, credit cards, and even mobile money.

I’m great at Bitcoin podcasts, but suck at reading. I really wanna make more progress on the Bitcoin standard, I need to send more sats to cold storage, and document my inheritance plan better first my wife. That’s the goal to start the year!

I'm building platform to host open source apps and services and see if people would be interested in paying a few sats after a free trial period in exchange for availability guarantees, storage space and backups. I'm trying to figure out if I can do nostr auth for all users users (at least for my management frontend). Maybe someone can point me in a direction to docs of how others are currently handling this. It's all still a bit rough around the edges and experimental and I haven't had time to figure out how to even let people pay me in sats. I'm not even that sure if users actually want what I intend to host:
  • Per-user Navidrome with automatic Bandcamp sync, web upload to maintain library, automatic MusicBrainz tagging
  • Omnivore backend (a nice Pocket/read-later clone that was recently acqui-hired and abandoned their hosted product)
I have some other ideas for stuff that's also rather niche and might involve local LLMs.
I'm also playing around with relays and blossom servers.
Edit: I'm basically just trying to give back instead of getting rich of off anything. A few sats might just make it worth it to invest in some hardware for more reliability and storage.
