I'd argue this is the perfect time. Everything is already up and everyone is already working so why not just slip it in. Its also the end of security protection so ya know if its a little more but it is the end of it well that's fine cause its a one time expense.

Hes dead.... his wife has passed.... there is no cost.... esp considering everyone of political significance is highly likely to be up here anyway these next couple of weeks

So besides him and his wife he didn't have any political relatives? I guess outside of immediate family they don't get security though anyway do they?

Depends on the person/situation. Presidents get a 30 day, I want to say horrific events like 911 were 3 days and most others are just one day.

Ok ok, that seems right..but wrong all in the same, I mean 9/11 was way more grievous than a single president and deserved a month at least but I do suppose we do remember them every year.
