bitcoin makes this proposition difficult. But I do fantasize about a simpler time without the bullshit of instagram/facebook et al.

I'm not too concerned with going to hell, but if I were, I'd take it. There are pros and cons to everything. The biggest disadvantages would be some loss of productivity, medical breakthroughs, and no bitcoin. Otherwise, it might be mostly advantages.
