After a couple tough weeks it looks like the Heat are getting back on track as they secured a 3-1 series win in Round 6 against the Brisbane Bandits.
Here is how it played out:
The Heat won a close game 1 in extra innings 4-3. SP Tucker Smith threw 6 innings giving up only 2 runs and C Alex Hall had 2 hits including a home run.
In game 2 the Heat had an offensive outburst and won in convincing fashion 16-5. SP Jong-Hae Won pitched well with 6 innings and only 2 runs and the bats exploded led by a massive game from Jhon Diaz who had 4 hits including 2 home runs and 4 rbis and SS Carlos Colmenarez who had 2 hits, a homerun and 5 rbis.
In game 3 the Heat kept rolling, securing another 4-3 win. The Heat got 3 innings of scoreless work from the bullpen late in the game allowing the bats to come back and secure the win. SS Bryon Armstrong had 2 hits, a homerun and 2rbis.
In game 4, the Heat could not complete the sweep and lost 7-1. A rough outing from the pitchers and not much going with the bats either. Lone bright spot being CF Jhon Diaz who had 2 hits.
After 6 rounds the Heat are now. 11-13 and in 5th place in the ABL. In round 7 they face off against the second place Adelaide Giants.
