The World Population Review (WPR), an independent organization that analyzes world population based on data provided by the United Nations, released the latest update of its ranking of global life expectancy at birth in 2024.
The ranking is as follows:
Monaco: 87.14
Hong Kong: 85.96
Macao: 85.65
Japan: 85.08
Liechtenstein: 84.92
Switzerland: 84.52
Singapore: 84.39
Italy: 84.35
South Korea: 84.26
Spain: 84.19
violence in Russia, criminality and, above all, alcohol consumption, which have had a direct effect on mortality rates in the middle ages; the drop in survival probabilities was highly concentrated in the 20 to 65 age group. The inordinate consumption of alcohol, again, is not a capitalist novelty.

That seems very bleak, and no doubt it's bad, but I do always wonder about how these parameters are chosen. Does this look the same for 14 and 16? Is there a good reason for 15?
I know it's common to do 3+ or 5+, when you want to remove the effect of childhood mortality, but I don't know why you'd choose 15.
