Turner Construction Company said Tuesday that it has topped out the new Universal Health Systems (UHS) Alan B. Miller Medical Center project in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, marking the end of vertical construction.
The total value of the new hospital is $430 million, according to reporting from other media outlets.
The fully built-out project, which will total 432,000 square feet, will feature:
-
Two podium levels and five patient floors, with each floor set to house five distinct patient units;
-
150 private patient rooms, with 30 beds per patient floor;
-
Space for admissions, administration, food services, surgical services, imaging, an emergency department, central plant and other support;
-
A separate medical office building; and
-
A helistop, which will accelerate emergency care.
The hospital site, UHS said, will be able to accommodate potential future growth as well.
