What are your thoughts on being able to fundraise for the amount to make a permanent territory, then everyone who contributes is a co-owner and gets a pro rata share of those fees? I like the territory concept but think it's a bit expensive. I think this could be interesting for people who want to move their communities over to here but don't want to shell out the amount as an individual, and then having multiple co-owners incentivizes keeping the community alive and engaged. This could also work for people who want "private territories" if those ever become a thing (i.e., if some OGs wanted their own territory if stacker.news 100xed in size). Structurally, I think the organizer could get a ~10% interest for organizing the fundraise and the community premise, then 90% of fees would be allocated proportionately based on the BTC contributed.

I proposed something similar in this post.
Did you see the announcement that territory fees are coming down?
In that post, they commented that they want to discourage outright territory purchases, so I don't think our ideas are going to be implemented anytime soon.

Very cool - thanks! I’m fairly new to stacker.news so I’m behind on updates/developments. I’ll dig in

I think it’s a great idea but I am not sure buying outright makes sense anymore with the monthly and yearly territory costs being cut in half while buying outright stays the same.

Oh, like a SN mining pool, with uncertain rewards?!
