The logic is that there's no limit on picking the same team every round but this puts a cap on the repetition and will also involve some strategy.
I get that but I don't see how that outweighs the competitive imbalance of some players having to win 1 game and other players having to win 2.
I know in the baseball pool we had a similar situation where some teams would play 6 games in a week and others 7 but the difference between 6 and 7 games and 1 and 2 is pretty significant.
Anyways, my fault for not reading the rules more clearly. All good.

Everyone's free to choose the team that's playing only 1 game. This rule is not there to outweigh the competitive imbalance but to let the players use their brains ;) before picking.
In WBBL pool, I had to omit a few matches due to some teams playing more matches. This time I've decided to add each match and let everyone choose whichever team they want.
Perth and Heat are playing two games this round but we stil l have sixers, stars, strikers and Renegades with only one game.
Hurricanes and thunde don't have a game this round. This means you can't pick them but it will also be that those teams which have 2 matches this round might not have a match in a future round.
