Well its pretty easy to see and well numbers do not lie... The vast majority of Americans do not want the government shut down. The majority of Republican voters do not want the government shut down yet we have a very vocal group that thinks once again this is the end of the world passing this legislation.
Republicans KNOW that if the government shuts down it is going to be used against us just like it was in 2018. The Party isn't stupid otherwise they wouldn't have stayed to try and hammer out a deal.
Your BFF Rep. Massie would have LEFT D.C. since today was an out-of-session day and not have stayed as he has.

Numbers do not lie but pollsters lie all the time
let the new Congress take action on Jan 3
6 years since the last shutdown is too long
shutdowns need to be annual so voters can see the fiscal dysfunction in DC
reply
That is a new level of stupidity but ya know you said it with your chest so that means something. When Trumps inauguration goes sideways because they were able to plan since all those NPS people were furloughed maybe you'll see the issues
reply
Furloughs keep people on their toes
Furloughs separate essential from non essential employees
They are a feature not a bug
reply
No they drive the qualified people to the private sector and allow incompetence to come in.
