Gorgeous smooth voice 😍 like sipping a smokey, peaty whisky.

She really does! And a tune so good that Chris Stapleton re-used it on another song!

reply

Oh really! Which one? I think I kinda hear Tennessee whiskey. Is it that one?

reply

Yep, you got it! He took the lyrics from David Allan Coe's version and combined it with this tune. Then T-Pain took that version and added even more soul sound to it!

reply

Oooohhhh that's a fun fact!

I didn't realise T-Pain has done a version. That'd be interesting. Him doing war pigs was really good. He's got great vocals which he seems to hide behind an overuse of autotune but I guess that's just his style.

reply

Yes, this cover is on the same album as the War Pigs cover! He did a really nice version and added another section to the song too.

I would like to see him do more without the autotune, but it seems it works for him. I can't say the autotune is my favorite sound, but I do have some of those songs from him that I like.

reply

If it's what he wants to do sure, let him do it. But I took wish we got to hear more of his clean vocals. Because this version is so good.

True legends of the industry. And a great song. Their influence is still heard in styles today. That's a helluva legacy to leave behind.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abbey_Road

Abbey Road is the eleventh studio album by the English rock band the Beatles, released on 26 September 1969, by Apple Records. It is the last album the group recorded, although Let It Be (1970) was the last album completed before the band's break-up in April 1970.

Didn't Jonh record this album (Let It Be)?

There's no need to apologize, we all make mistakes. We just have to be humble enough to admit our mistakes.

reply

This exchange 🤌🤌 just people talking music. Makes an old man so proud.

reply

Really not what I was expecting all! The vocal lines sound like they should be in a ghost track. But the backing music sounds like it should be a simple stripped back white stripes track. Really cool track.

reply

Mike Patton's range is ridiculous. From vocals to genres.

Awesome song. What amazing vocals, really great. Nice one 7e 👊

I was going to choose a song from when he was part of The Temptations, but I preferred to choose this one from his solo career. I'm glad you liked it 👊

Oooo that 80s vibe. The hairstyles 🤌🤌

Is it just me or does his voice kind of sound like (I really can't place it properly) one of the 70s/80s hair metal bands like poison or someone (it's not poison but it's a band like that)

It's the nyyaaaahhh sound in his voice makes me think of the guy from scorpions maybe??

It's really bugging me 🤣🤣 his voice sounds like someone but I now can't think of the someone...

It's none of those bands mentioned above but it's that style... This is driving me nuts 🤣🤣

This unforgettable success that makes my hair stand on end.
