We will find in the study of Vedic literature that gods are noted but that there is a supreme Godhead who is really the ultimate receiver of all worship and it is wise to just recognize him and worship him. Otherwise the activity of worship produces temporary results and will ultimately lead back to the bondage of human suffering or worse.

Also our definitions of God, Theo, Deus and other words that predate English are to always be considered in the study of religion. We can go a bit crazy as well. The important note is to discriminate and find where the demons are! This is where the activities lead one away from Kingdom of Heaven and into the realm of materialism which is just devil worship. Some of it it is quite mild and some of it is extreme.

We might even wonder why we don't encounter more evil spirits in the western world. My answer is that we are embedded in the cycle of atrophy and we don't need to be attacked spiritually because we are full engaged in the demonic activities. It's only when we try to walk away from the demonic that the forces of evil start to attack.
