Takoyaki is the best. I used to ride my bicycle past a takoyakiya everyday and stop there to pick up a box of them to bring home. They also had taiyaki, which were the only things with manju in them that I would eat. Nice hot taiyaki and takoyaki are the best on a chilly day! They had a lot of that type of snack and were selling they like hotcakes. :)

I think these old people run their shop not so much to earn money, but to gain energy from lively chatty children haha.

I watched a video about how Osaka obasan sells takoyaki ridiculously cheaply to the neighbourhood children.
