...ish, anyways. Lots of statistical trickery in the announcement, so who can tell?!
Here are the deets:
"GDP expanded 3.9 per cent from July to September in seasonal-adjusted terms compared with the previous quarter, marking Argentina’s first quarter of growth since it entered recession in late 2023, the country’s statistics agency said on Monday.
"Compared with the same period in 2023, GDP for the third quarter fell 2.1 per cent. The rebound comes as Milei marks one year in office, during which time he has unleashed brutal spending cuts and a fierce deregulation drive."
Basically, year-on-year quarterly GDP fell, but Q3 over Q2, seasonally adjusted, marked some growth.
Note also the very journalistic and objective phrasing "unleashed brutal spending cuts."
AFUERA TODO!
Next I'll be reading hers and Michael Scott's weekend FT big read -- "Argentina: Has Javier Milei Proved His Critics Wrong?"

He radically took his chainsaw to the state and went after the cronies. He said he would do it and I think he did it. State overspending went out the window with the lefty/Marxist/socialist/communist/murderers! They all got defenestrated!!
