This is a follow up on my bitcoin heating journey, I wrote about it here #685453 and #768730

Yesterday we started with the installation works 🔨

Below you can see the existing heater:
  • the top part is the oil burner
  • the bottom part is the hot water buffer tank
On the left you can see the pipes coming out (and a strainer), where the ry3t will be connected to the system:
The two pipes go arround and into the existing system so we can make use of the hot water buffer tank:
This is essentially a branch-off of the heating supply and the return flow (Vor- und Rücklauf) before it enters the oil heater.
As mentioned these pipes will connect the ry3t. Like this, based on the temperature in the return flow, the miners will start mining if needed. This will heat up the water in the supply flow before it enters the old system, which leads to the oil heater never starts heating because it measures hot temperature in its supply flow...
So plumbing wise we are ready now 😍
The next step is to install a stronger powerline from the main fuse box to the heating room...
