I knew about Bitcoin since 2013, but it's only in 2017 that I bought my first sats, and it was on kraken. I remember the feeling among me and my colleagues (who introduced me into the crypto world) was that we missed the BTC train since the price was "already $7k" xD so we "wasted" the most of our resources on xrp and a bunch of other crap! Fortunately, it didn't take me too long to understand I didn't miss any train, and I have been DCAing since then!

Got in around the end of 2020. I was studying, and some friends and I had starting investing (stocks and so on).
I got curious about crypto, just because it was a different asset class. I shitcoined for a while, because who doesn't? I didn't know anything about why bitcoin was made, didn't care about freedom or sovereignty. Like you, I thought I'd missed the boat with Bitcoin and chased faster gains (god what I'd give to buy Bitcoin at those prices today!)
Unlike a lot of people though, I never got burned on shitcoins. I read The Bitcoin Standard toward the end of '21, and never looked back. I got out of shitcoins with a small profit and have been a maxi ever since.

I think I can define myself as a maxi too! Recently, I've started reading the bitcoin standard again and it's incredible how different is it this 2nd time I'm reading it...

I've read it twice before, and am reading it a third time now. Somehow it never gets old.
I actually gave away my first copy, and recently gifted a copy to a colleague. It's the only book I've purchased more than once at full price.
