it's incredible how lucky I have been discovering Bitcoin in 2017...
In a world where you become what you are supposed to become, my predestined (financial) future would have seen me working 40 hours per week to pay a 35years mortgage on my house while barely enjoy things outside work.
and that's exactly how my life has started. Son of 2 public sector employees in a country with an extremely scarce knowledge of the different financial tools available out there, I ended up working full time for a company, in order to be able to afford paying back the bank from which I borrowed money for my 1st house... just like my parents did and pretty much everyone esle I know around me.
Living the average life they want us to live, in order for this (messy) system to keep going... at least until the next crash/crysis (life is what happened to us between a crysis and another, right?)
but then something happened... in 2017 a few colleagues introduced me to the crypto world, I didn't even understand what it was but I jumped in. At that time they were all buying XRP because the feeling was we had lost the BTC train ($7k at that time xD).
I took me a few years to really understand the meaning and the power of BTC, but then I finally started DCAing consistently, increasing my buy when some dips happened (oh my how many we had since then!)
Long story short, in less than 7 years I took profit a few time to improve my life with some trips or useless expensive stuff that made me happy, and I was even able to re-negotiate my mortgage! I also managed to reduce my working hours since I feel I don't need to be that much of a slave anymore...
I still have most of my BTC stash and I am still DCAing with the goal of keep improving my life and my wealth, and I'm glad I could discover BTC, otherwise I'm sure there wouldn't have been any chance for me to live a better life than the one "that was meant for me".
I’m glad that you didn’t hold back and spent some money on useless expensive stuff because let’s face it, material possessions spark joy up to a certain point in time!
@siggy47, @rikbona is my Italian friend and the first one whom i successfully persuaded to join SN! Do you think his story is good enough for ~BooksandArticles? Just helping him pave the way to make him comfortable here!
