How do you guys deal with several hour-long podcasts?
I clicked on the one from the main page (#803006) only to realize it lasts for more than 2 hours. Maybe I am too much of a boomer and didn't grow up with podcasts, but I just don't get how to handle this type of content. Also, if the interviewer and the interviewee have different speech speed, one can't really use x2 speed. Even then, it would still be more than 1 hour. For the same reason, I never got into listening to a Lex Fridman podcast.
I always feel like I can get the same information in written form which is much more structured and can be digested in a shorter time. The only podcast I listened to at some point was the Unhashed podcast as I needed something to do while commuting... but without commute, I don't think I'd have listened to it.
Am I missing something about the benefits of listening to a podcast?
