I would say that you use the LSP (the wrapper node) for a direct route to your private node. Many node runners, especially the private nodes, do not choose the right peers for their direct channels and many times end up with "no route found" when is about to pay them.

Also usually the LSPs are providing a fast LN graph sync from their servers.
