I still remember all the performative hand wringing. The climate narrative around bitcoin feels dead but i suspect we'll see it crop up again before too long.
GreenpeaceUSA’s Change the Code campaign has been suspended. As of today, there’s been no action, posts, or media releases for 6 months.
They squandered $5M to no effect: Zero code in Bitcoin changed. Zero financial institutes who were lobbied changed their stance on Bitcoin. By contrast, many millennial and GenZs turned off GreenpeaceUSA. Analyst Willy Woo estimating a loss of 35.7M per year in Greenpeace funding. Sources within GreenpeaceUSA admitted the campaign had been a complete failure.

Have they tried writing a single line of code and doing their own hard fork? Because it's open source, anyone can do it. Odell encourages all the idiots to just go ahead and do their hard forks

The information is just so readily available now. The only way you can get gaslit anymore is to be a willing participant. You literally have to WANT to believe something that is false in the face of irrefutable proof to the contrary.
