Some photographs I made today.
It was a chilly one - could’ve stayed out longer, but sometimes you just know when there’s nothing great to capture. I try to stay open-minded, hoping something unexpected will present itself. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t.
I usually don’t carry my phone when I’m out shooting, but today I kind of wished I had. Came across a really cool salamander on some cold rocks by the river. At first, I thought it was fake - a fishing lure left behind by the fisherman I passed earlier. But when I got closer, I realized it was alive. It was sluggish at first, probably from the cold, but it warmed up while sitting in my hand.
Such a cool little guy. I always love stumbling upon some tiny, novel creature I can pick up and momentarily call a new friend.
Everything is photographed on my Leica M262, and edited in Lightroom + Dehancer
