So, they finally discover the truth of power through a demonstration of the use of power! Great lesson, did you plan it from the beginning or was it more of a spur-of-the-moment decision. It is difficult to get real reactions from “well planned” lessons. Evoking that kind of epiphany is worth the effort, in any case.
The quote was planned in the moment and my example was just in the moment and created on the fly.
That's why I have outlines for my classes, but nothing is really planned.
I go in with thoughts and I have goals, the rest in between is open to the kids and how we wind the path to the goal.

I always found that to be the best route, however, often enough, administrators and evaluators wanted to have exact lesson plans available for their files. I don’t think that they valued them enough to read them through. I worked from an outline of goals, most of the time, too.

Yes! I know, it sucks and never works... It's just to create more jobs for their friends.
