Okay, and then like...text the PBST file to someone to transmit it for you? I have Manchakura in mind reading through this

So does Machankura!

I am delighted to see someone working on a Bitcoin wallet/signing device that can work on feature phones.

Let's complete the puzzle!

Could be useful? Any suggestion?
I plan adding capabilities to send BTC transactions via SMS:
  • ECDH over SMS for secure channel
  • Fetch UTXOs info over SMS
  • Create and sign a TX
  • Broadcast the TX via SMS
    And it's obviously fully non-custodial.

Oh hell yes. I’m gonna go buy a Nokia phone on eBay just to play with this.

The real takeaway:

A Nokia 5310 2020 is sold for 15/20$, it has a keyboard, a screen, a SD card reader, a camera and it can run C code.

This is awesome. Reminds me of these cheap computers you could buy and have a NAS.

MRE = Meal Ready To Eat?

Sorry, due to SN's length limit on the title, I had to cut off part of the actual title:

Bitcoin wallet / PSBT signing app for Mediatek MRE RTOS (e.g. Nokia Series 30+)

So MRE refers to Mediatek MRE real time operating system (RTOS), with MRE being the acronym for MAUI Runtime Environment.

Many S30+ devices only support MAUI Runtime Environment (MRE), developed by MediaTek, but some later devices have included support for J2ME applications.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Series_30%2B

MRE has been deprecated and removed from the internet by Mediatek.
