My students disappointed me this am when I noticed some of them weren't listening to each other's presentations, looking at their phones/computers instead.
So, they got a pop quiz to report on what each other said.
Many failed.
Hope they learned.
I hate it when they don't pay attention to each other.
The lessen being pay the fuck attention to your peers.
Oh, you are discovering the nature of the wild student, eh?
Devices are the death of education!
Looking up information on Google is not learning anything!
Writing papers with AI is not creating anything!
However, students will be students, yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Notice how it yawns at 9:30, 11:00, and 1:00 like clockwork, is slow to arrive and quick to leave and has habit of disappearing for days at a time without an explanation.

They are. Relying on Google and Ai is like showing up to build a house with nothing but a sledgehammer and dynamite.
