To put a different opinion out there...
I respectfully disagree. HODL your own keys if you can, 100%. But institutions and publicly-traded companies cannot easily do this
If M Saylor is smart (and he is) the Bitcoin will be mostly at Fidelity... or a range of custodians in a vault in the side of a mountain which is where it probably is.
In a deep, thick vault in the side of a mountain somewhere. Fidelity at least is a really serious company run by serious people... and I have no reason to think that 'any minute' there will be a hack or something I think that's extremely unlikely.
I think Saylor's plan will work out. His is the only company, really, adopting Bitcoin on that scale... and first mover advantage is huge.
I guess we will see. It's still early. When Bitcoin is 100x in value, this will all look very different. Incentives will change. And I still think he needs to be humbled.

we will see. i think mr saylor understands what hodlers do and what they are.
but he also has a diverse range of incentives and responsibilities... and it's impossible to balance everything perfectly
