This is actually disappointing news.

A megacorp like google has more than enough resources to do this on their own, including self-custody.

The fact that they choose not to and delegate that to a thirdparty like Coinbase is nothing to celebrate about.

Wasn't there similar news a few months ago, about google accepting btc through another partnership? 🤔
