I'd like to know the that statistic between age and with or without children. If one is over 60 and have a shorter time horizon, if you don't have children than who could enjoy the shade of the tree you might plant?

That's a really good point. If you keep your wallet secret and don't pass it onto anyone else, you're effectively distributing it to the entire world through deflation. So, no waste!
