We can act like this because there can never be any blowback to the US. We are at the "end of history" and all such actions are just perfect one-off events. Everyone will now capitulate and offer no further resistance. These actions are consequence free and only further Americas interest. Problem has been solved. Russia is fucked....easy peasy....

Honestly this is a huge Turkey thing not so much of a US. Its likely that Saudi and the UAE will step-up as well to bring into their influence over Iran.
