People replying to that tweet theorising that Bitcoin was created by a government / the NSA while simultaneously not realising that it does not matter who created it. All that matters is that it exists, it’s here now and it’s uncontrollable by any central entity.

God damn, I feel like we are still stupidly early to this thing.

It is possible there could be a backdoor into sha-2 very few people understand the actual math.

I find it hard to believe that the NSA found something that foreign intelligence agencies, financial institutions, cryptographers, mathematicians and the global community have been unable to find for 20+ years now. The incentive to find a flaw has been there since its inception, nothing has been found and the longer it exists the more likely it is that there was never a backdoor to begin with.

If he was orangepilled, it was probably by Michael Saylor, not Saifdean.

Since Lex is friends with Vitalik, I hope Lex tries to convince Vitalik to abandon Ethereum. At least trying would go a long way in my book.

Vitalik already admitted himself that he thinks crypto will play a smaller role in the financial system overall, so he has already copped out on ETH becoming a global money (like that was ever a possibility in the first place).

reply

Lol I doubt it, he is just an engagement farmer, he will flip flop as soon as his buddy Vitalik says his got some new ETH update
