This is crazy. The Rangers kicked this guy to the curb. I had no idea things soured so much between Trouba and the team. On the Buffalo hockey pod I listened to the hosts as they would discuss Trouba as a potential trade but odds of him wanting to come to buffalo were slim to none.

But the Rangers were ruthless even threatened to put him on waivers where any NHL team could claim him. Rangers were desperate to clear salary cap because the Ducks are on the hook for all $8M.

I wonder how this will impact the Rangers going forward. Trouba was their captain and they really treated him badly. Chris Drury the Rangers GM was a former Sabre. So I have lots of love for him but man as a GM he isn’t messing around.
