It was a busy morning in our household.
My wife was getting ready for work and getting my daughter started on her online lessons. I was sitting at the kitchen table, enjoying a coffee, reviewing a couple emails from my contract job regarding a project next week and of course reading the morning (stacker) news.
My son entered the kitchen to get himself some breakfast. After a couple minutes I hear “Ah Dad”.
I look up from my laptop screen. “Yes”
“We need a few things” my son says.
“What do you mean” I reply.
“Next time we go to the store we need a few things. Milk, yogurt, Rice Krispies, orange juice”
I was somewhat confused at his use of “we” as I don’t recall my son going grocery shopping with myself or my wife even once since he has been old enough to stay home alone, but decided not to quibble over it.
I said “why don’t you make a list and give it to mom. I think she is going to do a Walmart order tomorrow.”
Later when I was driving my wife to work she glances at her phone and starts laughing. I said “what is it” and she replied “I just got a text message from my US phone. All it says is “milk, yogurt, Rice Krispies, Orange Juice.”
Haha he did what I asked. Gotta give him credit for that!
