He's not wrong. Cancel culture has created people that care less about what "polite" society think.

I'm not sure how true the corruption charges are, but no doubt he's facing prosecution because he spoke out on the migrant situation in NYC. After all, there aren't many squeaky clean NYC politicians.

Yeah, at the end of the day, I don’t know the guy, and it seems implausible that a super ethical person could rise to that level of power in a system like NYC politics. He just seems cut and dry and level headed whenever I hear him speak, which I guess is just a feeling and not really based in any sort of reality.

I agree. I can't help but like him. I have a lot of NYPD family who really didn't like him as a cop, though.

The only thing I can think of liking him for is he is speaking one thing TRUTH. Truth to power is a redeeming feature.
