Would you offer improved solution for LNbits SaaS that could offer also a funding source?
Like Greenlight, for those that don't want to manage liquidity.
Like integrated phoenixd, on-the-go for those that just want "plug-and-play" solution.
Like custodial (by LNbits) node with a sub-account for an instance on SaaS LNbits.
We will be adding phoenixd, boltz and Breez to the saas funding sources, with a ui to manage, and the saas could use as turnkey solution. Although the saas is a product we need some more resources on to make great, and one of the reasons LNbits Inc is raising a seed

ofc with a "welcome" option to customize the account at first start.
I think that could help many merchants to have a "ready-to-go" box, just plug it, click some setup options and done, they have their own instance ready.
I have a todo to actually do this. We now have a nostr wallet connect extension that will allow you to fund any NWC compatible app from your home LNbits instance. Watch this space.

Both. We already have a NWC funding source for lnbits and the NWC service provider extension allows funding of NWC compatible apps. So you can run LNbits with a funding source like phoenixd at home and fund a clearnet lnbits instance. I'm doing this and it works amazingly well.

Few months ago I wrote a guide about LNbits NOSTR Market (btw, I wrote like 10 other guides about LNbits). But I see that people still do not understand the power of nostr market yet. I think the power of NOSTR is not in the "social media" stuff like many sees, but in running a decentralized market.
What are the plans to improve it or promote LNbits NOSTR market more?
Vlad did amazing working on the nostr market extension and nip15. The goal was to build something that showed what could be done with nostr markets and act as a reference implementation of sorts. It's awesome to see plebian.market and shopstr using nostr marketsand the LNbits nostr market client is compatible with these. It's early and we're looking forward to seeing nostr markets becoming more popular as nostr adoption goes up.

I think that LNBits Nostr Market should be promoted more and people knowing better how to use it. Replacing the old Woocommerce sites and move towards nostr.
What are the plans with bringing back cashu extension on LNbits?
Cashu is very cool. We'd love to have cashu back in LNbits. The old extension was too heavy, a lighter weight version of the cashu extension would be more than welcome. If someone can build and PR one, we'll definitely review and include.
Yeah totally. Install nustash, and have a light extension that talks to nustash, would be a great contribution.
What are the biggest new features coming with the LNbits v 1.0 ?
It's huge, massive refactor, code clean, bunch of new extensions, optimisations, users area for admin, audit module for admins, stats module for admins. 🚀🚀🤯

Good question. 5 years of development and hardening.
Lots of projects in bitcoin v1 way to early, we wanted to really take our time. Signalling money software is ready for production is a LOT of responsibility.

I always get excited to do ln bits stuff by my nodes in a box automatically use tor thus keeping me from doing cool things with ln bits like LNwithdrawal where I can gift sats and if they never take them claw them back.
Any idea how to get around this limiting factor
Use your Tor nodes as funding source for a LNbits installed on another local machine. Can be on the same network (easiest) or a VPS with a tailscale tunnel.

Its one of the main reasons makers in bitcoin came together to start LNbits.
There has been a big push to make building extensions more and more easy.

FOSS is not easy to do without money. Do you have some sponsors or is only from donations?
Opensats give us a grant for FOSS, and we also have a for profit LNbits Inc, that is VC funded, which offers SaaS, complimentary services, like the extension marketplace, nostr.com, hardware stuff like the atm, hww, nsec signer etc.

What are your thoughts about AI + Bitcoin?
With v1 updates to extensions and how they work I can see us rolling out a wizard, and I imagine AI will be part of that.
I want to be able to have an idea for an extension, give a prompt and have the wizard/AI do most heavy lifting.
Great ideas are abundant, time to create them all is scarce.

It's not on our roadmap at the moment but definitely something we'll look at when the time is right.

Exactly this. This is exactly what I'm doing and it works really well.
I run a BTCPayServer instance with an LND node and I'd love to have an lnbits instance together and use the same node. Is it possible to have it as plugin there, so it can be installed with docker? Well I know it's possible but I don't like to modify it myself and break it. Maybe you could talk with your BTCPay frens and help put it forward.
There are docker files for lnbits so it should be pretty straight forward. You'll need to configure whatever http proxy you have to work with your docker instance but shouldn't be hard to do.

LNbits is much more than LNURL. We're going to implement bolt12 when it's ready and integrate into all the extensions where it makes sense to do so.
