I know it’s just rice and spam (or luncheon meat), but wrapping the food in plastic wrap imbues it with a tinge of class. Don’t you agree?

Unless the food is hot!

It’s cold but not as cold as I imagine Nepal to be

No, the food like this is usually not hot. It is made for snacks and cold lunches or for emergency food in your back pack.

Immensely!
I have to try this sometime.
It wasn’t a thing when I was in Japan. Onigiri, yes! But onigiri with spam, no.
It looks like my kids might have tried it when they went to Japan.

It’s an Okinawa thingy — probably influenced by the Americans like taco rice

All the time I lived there, I hardly ever saw either spam or peanut butter (please, don’t tell me peanuts cream is the same as peanut butter).
Now that I live here, I hardly ever see good fish or tiramisu.
