Along many years as a libertarian I struggled a lot on why family and friends don't get, then people in general. Lately it's becoming clear to me and even how people hate freedom, because it means responsability and most of them want a nanny to take care of them and think for them. But ultimately they get benefits from the state directly or indirectly even if the alternative it's better, because they can't see it. For example, women are almost all maried with the state, even married women because in the first difficulties or in hard times, they will either run for state help or listen more to the state than to their husband. That's why it's much easier to hard working intelligent men to become libertarian as they have most to lose and be slaved about. Now imagined when bitcoin starts to crack down the state, how it will make a lot of people come closer to libertarian ideas and respect much more working men.
How did the state originate and how does it exert its influence to this day? Through coercion and oppression. In this situation it is very easy to assume the reason for this fact. There is a whole system that makes people dependent and obedient, that even some billionaires create collusion with the state by creating their oligopolies.
