Howdy Stackers!

A few days ago I was watching a random awards show for Bollywood movies. There were two people, one an actor and other an actor turned politician, hosting it. They both started a spree for the pros and cons of both movies and politics, actors and politicians. At last the actor mocked the politician for not having any award show for politicians. For this the politician had no answer and agreed that he'll think of making a comeback to movies for the reason.

After listening their fun talk which everyone enjoyed, I had a reflection on 'Can we have an Awards Show for SN?' So, that's how the idea originated.

While I don't want to go deep down on why should we have one on SN or why not? The reason I'm putting it here as an idea is to bring some suggestion for how we do it.

So far I've thought a few points which are:

1. The Awards

I think we can include the following awards.

Stacker of the Year
Territory of the Year
Zapper of the Year
Troller of the Year
............................ (Suggest yours)

The Prize

This is a big challenge for I really don't wanna associate with money or Sats here. But then I think without Sats, it'd just be boring. So it's better we have some sats attached to the awards, not essentially to reward someone with Sats bit as a gesture of gratitude for being the best of best.

For this we need to create a pot of sats which then be rewarded equally among the winners of various categories.

But gow does this pot fill up?

Contribution by stackers. Yes, I'm sure you all would like to participate in such an award show on SN either as awardee or awarder. There's no hold bar. If you feel you should contribute for a festival for Stackers which will inspire everyone for the next year to bring the best out of them, you can contribute any amount of Sats.
Through a series of Posts. Yes, as this award will require a participation of everyone to choose the best of the bests, we'll have nominations which will be choosen by the stackers through polls and then we'll have a finale for the top five for every category on December 31. Whatever Sats Zapped to these posts will also contribute to the pot.
I've decided to fill the pot with 10k Sats. This is my contribution.
You can also suggest how can we fill in the pot?

So, how do you feel about it. Currently it's just an idea and I'm putting this in front of all of you for I want to have some serious mulling on this before coming up with a final draft of how we'll do it. Those who really know me, knows well that I'm good at creating some fun competitions.

So, have your say on this idea. Tell me/suggest me/criticize me. But think of it in terms of creating a festival for Stackers on SN.

While I am not generally too interested in awards, I am kind of tempted to contribute some sats. Because I like giving for any reason at all and I like to be a counter balance to the DC vibe that feels like one of selfishness, greed and scarcity. I'll do 5k. Even if it means I smell like shit. I've been called worse things.

I'll do this event in ~alter_native for the owner here didn't pay any heed or may be he's passive. I'm saying it now but I've made up my mind to host it in alternative yesterday.

I'm not sure what they intend by holding 5 territories if they can't wait even praise or comment with their two words, more so when they see a long thread on a post in their territory.

Yes, that should be the motive when anyone wants a territory. Just buying it at hand with 3m sats and then never appear won't make them big so far we have got alternatives. On some of the territories, the fees is pretty high but the owners are passive.

It's where ~alter_native supersedes them.

If you put can put in the equal amount of Sats I've put in the various pools on SN, I'll add "Assmilker of the Year"* award to SN Annual Awards.

FYI, the amount that I've put in entirely from my own pocket is more than 250k sats.

I don't understand what you're so frustrated about? If you really want SN to be the way you want. Why don't you just create another SN. You've all the technical skills to do so. Also, if you think I'm doing something wrong here, you can always cross me ahead by doing the same.

Do you envy and despise me for I'm there on the top of the leaderboard (which I'm not) or it's just that you can't stand the fact how someone is getting more and real attention?

Anyways whatever is the cause, you can keep hating and accusing me or complaining about the leaderboard or anything else but here's a reminder you can't take me down, never.
